A renowned sports psychologist and award winning writer, her travel and assignments have taken her to eighteen countries. In 1986, sponsored by the Australian Government and major corporations, she was the first woman to cycle across Australia, making the solo ride on behalf of the Freedom From Hunger Campaign. She has held senior management positions in the USA and abroad. Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Newton maintains a psychology practice near Atlanta, Georgia. Please note that Dr. Newton is only contracted with insurance companies as a clinical provider for "medically necessary" treatment. Coaching and sports psychology are not covered by her insurance provider contracts and must be paid out of pocket. |
